Call the Shots. Shut DESO

Shut DESO protest and petition hand-in, 7th March 2007

On Wednesday 7th March, the day on which DESO (the Defence Export Services Organisation) held its annual symposium, supporters of CAAT and the Fellowship of Reconciliation gathered together to call for DESO's closure. After a peaceful protest outside DESO's Symposium near Parliament, we made the short walk to the Treasury to hand-in over 10,000 petition signatures to the Chief Secretary of the Treasury, Stephen Timms MP.

The petitions had been collected as part of our campaign to Shut DESO.
