Control BAE

Get involved in the campaign

CAAT campaigners around the UK have already been working hard to build support for this campaign, through protests, street stalls, letter-writing and other activities. But there is still much to be done. Please take whatever action you can to raise awareness of the campaign where you are...

Take local action

Please take any opportunity to raise the campaign in your local area. Can you organise a campaign day, public meeting or protest? Or run a stall in your town centre, library or other public place to collect petition signatures and get postcards signed? Or co-ordinate a letter-writing campaign to your MP? Or perhaps you could get people in your area to do web-based campaigning? If you are organising an event or action, why not invite your local MP(s) along and tell the local media your plans? Be imaginative – whatever action you can take will help the campaign. CAAT can provide extra Control BAE materials for you to use and distribute locally. If you would like to talk through any ideas please do not hesitate to contact us at the office.

Invite a CAAT speaker to your event

We want to ensure that as many people as possible hear about this campaign. Are you planning an event or public meeting this year that could benefit from a CAAT speaker on this issue? If so, let us know and we will do our best to provide a suitable speaker. Contact us at the office.

Order Campaign Materials

A Control BAE Pack, together with a background briefing, postcards and petitions, is available to order free from the CAAT office. This pack contains samples of all the other materials, together with an order form.

Briefing

The briefing provides information about UK arms sales to Saudi Arabia, as well as details of the Serious Fraud Office investigations into BAE and the grounds for the legal action. Hard copies can be ordered, but it can be read as a webpage or pdf (52kb) here.
