Export licences to Libya 2009/10

The licences refered to are Single Individual Export Licences (SIELs) which cover shipments of specified goods to a specified consignee. Other types of licences are not included here, neither are transhipment, incorporation nor temporary SIELs.

Military List: refers to military, security and para-military goods, software and technology and arms, ammunition and related material.*

Dual-use: equipment which is not specifically designed for military purposes but that could be used as such*

* See the Consolidated List of military and dual-use items that require export authorisation.

Approved UK arms export licences are taken from government figures available on the Foreign Office website.

An alternative, and fuller, collation of the Government's data can be found at The Guardian including an extremely useful graphic of arms to the region.
