1. Put BAE board under pressure

The BAE Systems AGM will takes place on Wednesday 6 May at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster. As usual CAAT will be there, asking questions about the aspects of BAE business, such as corruption allegations, that the Board won't want to answer.

If you would like to join us in questioning the BAE board, contact Ian via email or call 020 7281 0297.

2. Still time to speak up for CAAT

There are still a few places places available at our Speaker and Local Campaigner Training Day on Saturday 25 April in Birmingham. It's a great chance to meet other CAAT supporters, get the facts and stats you need, and develop your campaigning or speaking skills.

More details are available on our website or by emailling Anne-Marie.

3. Stop Week - 14-21 June 2009

Stop Week 2009 focuses on DSEi, the world's largest arms fair, scheduled to take place in East London in September. Stop Week aims to undermine the government support which makes it possible by targeting UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

Stop Week runs from Sunday 14 June to Sunday 21 June. More info on /events/stopweek09.php .Request a Stop Week Pack by emailing Anne-Marie.

Stop Week and other CAAT events will be listed on our online diary.

4. The cuckoo has landed

On 30 March CAAT delivered its own verdict on UKTI's support for the arms trade to the organisation's Board ... accompanied by a giant cuckoo. Read CAAT's alternative report.

You can also read more about the day here.

5. Volunteer for CAAT

CAAT is seeking a new Universities Network Co-ordinator volunteer one day a week. If you are a student or recent graduate who wants practical work experience in a campaigning NGO, this is the role for you. We offer diverse work, great company, travel expenses and a communal vegetarian lunch. Deadline for applications is 6 May 2009.

More information about this role is available online.

6. Design CAAT's Christmas card

CAAT's last greetings card, The Thoughtful Dove, was a great success and raised valuable funds. Now we invite designs for a new seasonal greetings card. The design should appeal to CAAT's diverse supporters and go beyond the usual themes of a Christmas card. The winning design will be reproduced by a professional design company and bring CAAT's message to thousands of homes at Christmas time. Find out more by emailing Sally.

The deadline is 3 July so get designing now!

7. Make out a standing order and double our money

That's right, double our money. The Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust has kindly agreed to match all standing order donations to CAAT signed up before September 2009, up to a total of £10,000. This is a very generous gesture, so if you haven't already made out a standing order, now is the time to do it and make CAAT a double winner.
