Online Communications Co-ordinator - Additional Information

CAAT's Staff

Each member of staff is, in consultation with Workplan (the weekly staff meeting), responsible for their own area of work. The other staff are:

Claire Brand - Office Co-ordinator who oversees the running of CAAT's office, the support and recruitment of volunteers, HR, as well as the orders and mail-outs of CAAT materials. (part-time);

Henry McLaughlin - Fundraising Co-ordinator whose responsibilities include raising funds for CAAT and TREAT from all sources, planning and implementing a fundraising strategy and developing relationships with supporters to increase their involvement (full-time);

Ann Feltham - Parliamentary Co-ordinator whose main responsibilities are parliamentary work, liaison with other organisations in the UK and overseas, and the co-ordination of administration including finances (full-time);

Anne-Marie O'Reilly - Local Campaigns Co-ordinator who promotes CAAT's national campaigns, events and projects through the local network and supports local contacts and groups to campaign effectively on arms trade issues. (part-time);

Ian Prichard - Research Co-ordinator who oversees CAAT's research programme and the office information resources (part-time);

Kaye Stearman - Media Co-ordinator with responsibility for CAAT's relationships with the press and broadcast media (part-time);

Sarah Waldron - Core Campaigns Co-ordinator who promotes and develops CAAT´s main campaign, organising events and protests and producing resources. (part-time).

All staff are members of CAAT's Steering Committee.

The campaign would be unable to function without the assistance of many volunteers whose work covers a wide range of activities including co-ordinating specific campaigns, writing reports and assisting with mailings.

Salary

CAAT has a pay parity policy and the salary is £27,672 a year (pro rata for part -time staff). It is reviewed annually, with any increase usually taking effect from July. CAAT pays an amount equivalent to 5% of the gross salary into a personal pension scheme for each member of staff. An extra 5% gross salary will be paid to any member of staff choosing to opt out of the arrangement. Interest-free season ticket loans are available.

Hours

The basic office hours are 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch. The person appointed will be required to attend evening and weekend meetings and events for which time off in lieu may be taken.

Holiday Entitlement

The holiday entitlement is 25 days a year plus 3 days which must be taken between Christmas and the New Year. The entitlement is pro rata for part-time staff.

Commitment
