After the fantastic response received following the relaunch of the Universities Clean Investment Campaign we would love to hear from anyone who studies or works at any UK university interested in helping us develop our campaign to get arms companies off campus.

Investments are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the relationship between universities and arms companies, and we want to raise awareness about:

  • Arms company funding research in science, engineering and technology, and the control this affords them over programmes in these subjects
  • Pension investments in arms companies
  • Arms companies recruiting at university careers fairs,

If you are interested in getting involved, please email us (universities@caat.org.uk or phone 020 7281 0297) and let us know. From writing letters to finance directors and pension trustees, to organising protests at recruitment fairs, there are a whole range of actions you can take.

We'd also be really keen to hear from staff and students who would like to become CAAT Campaign Contacts for their university - this wouldn't involve a lot of work, but would play an important role in strengthening the Universities Network. We will send you the latest campaign news and provide support and information, and as a contact you will be able to share ideas and information with other contacts at other institutions.

But however you can contribute, please don't hesitate to get in contact, and help us get arms companies out of UK universities!
