Taking action against Clarion Events
Clarion's involvement with the arms trade persists, despite a long-running campaign against them. Reed Elsiever, the company which owned DSEi before Clarion bought it, were eventually forced to sell DSEi after a hugely successful campaign against them.
Campaigners often attend Clarion's other events to highlight the absurdity of their events portfolio. With a range of events from Art to Antiques, Caravans to Classic motors, there's plenty of opportunity for creative action. On the CAAT website you can find resources on how to take action locally, and information on actions CAAT supporters have carried out at Clarion events such as the Baby Show, the Spirit of Christmas Fair, and the Spirit of Summer show. You can also find out more about protests and actions at DSEi – including everything you need to know about DSEi 2011.
