Step two: Contact your MP
<< Back to Action homepage : < Back to Step 1: Contact your MP : Forward to Step 3: Get local support >
Writing a letter or email is a good way to make contact in the first instance and is an easy way to make a MP aware of an issue and find out what he or she thinks.
It's estimated that every letter received by a politician represents about 80 people who care but haven't got around to writing. That is why politicians take notice of letters - it represents at least 80 votes!
It only takes a minute to contact your MP using our simple email form. Just put your postcode in the box below to get started.
If you'd prefer to write a letter, just put your postcode in to find your MP's name and some template text. You can write to your MP at: [MP's name], House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA
A personalised letter will have even more impact, but don't forget to ask your MP if he or she is willing to support our campaign.
