Martin Parr's arms fair insight
This month we were 'lucky' enough to get an insight into the goings on at IDEX (International Defence Exhibition), a massive biannual arms fair held in Abu Dhabi, one that UKTI DSO attended. This years event also saw delegations from 'key' customers such as China, Eritrea, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, and Sudan. Last year, as Martin mentions, sales of $545 were recorded.
Martin Parr is a Magnum photographer, and whilst he doesn't share many photo's in this blog entry, his description and analysis of the event is certainly worth a read.
