Vigil at Rolls Royce in Derby
3- 5pm, outside of Rolls Royce, West Service Rd, Raynesway, Derby DE21 7BD
This is one of the regular gatherings organised by East Midlands CND calling on the Government to Scrap Trident. The reactors and fuel rods which power the nuclear-armed submarines are manufactured at the Rolls Royce site.
You are invited to bring inspirational banners, quotes, readings and refreshments to share.

EAST LONDON AGAINST ARMS FAIR Musical Protest

Every two years since 2001 the largest Arms Fair in the world has been held at the ExCel Centre. Another is planned for September 2011. Join us for this protest at the venue. More musicians, singers and other supporters welcome and needed. Wheelchair accessible.

Hear from comedian and activist Mark Thomas at CAAT’s National Gathering. The new government brazenly claims there is "no embarrassment" in pushing arms exports. But resistance to the arms trade is multiplying. With the world’s largest arms fair coming up in the UK in 2011, this Gathering will be crucial for making links, sharing ideas and hatching plans to shut the arms profiteers down.
