DSEi, the world's largest arms fair, returned to London - with the political, financial and logistical support of the UK government. Filmmaker Kate Johnson documents CAAT's protest rally on 8th September. Campaign Against Arms Trade is working for the reduction and ultimate abolition of the international arms trade, together with progressive demilitarisation within arms-producing countries.
Filmmaker Kate Johnson joined campaigners at CAAT's protest rally near the ExCeL centre which was hosting the DSEi arms fair, on the hour-long bus ride on routemaster buses, past buildings associated with the arms trade, to central London, where protesters held an anti-arms trade fayre outside the headquarters of UK Trade & Investment's Defence & Security Organisation (UKTI DSO). Here is her film of the day's events.
